Latest Release - Expire and Revoke Open Badges
York, UK - 16.03.20 - Openbadges.me users can now expire and revoke their Open Badges.
A highly requested feature, Openbadges.me now supports the functionality to expire and revoke digital badges. Available on any paid plan, the new functionality is especially useful for membership and standards badges.
Badge expiration dates can be set for any date when creating a badge in Openbadges.me. Within the user interface, users can select how long the badge is valid for from the date it is issued. Once that date has been reached, the badge will automatically expire.
You can also manually expire badges yourself as well if you need to expire a badge earlier than intended. Which is very helpful if a member cancels their membership early for example - or even upgrades to another level.
As mentioned, users can now also "revoke" an Open Badge as well. The revoke functionality is useful when a badge is no longer valid or no longer represents it's initial purpose. For example, you as an organisation may have awarded an Open Badge for a training course. That training course has now been updated to include extra criteria and knowledge needed to pass. You can now revoke the badges awarded from that course prior to those changes.
No matter which sector you belong to, this functionality can be incredibly helpful for you. So if you want to learn more then we would love to hear from you!
